Chapter Awards

Each year the SMPS Virginia Chapter accepts nominations for our Chapter Awards. The due date for nominations is September 2, 2026 for the following award categories:

The Marketer of the Year award recognizes a member’s extraordinary leadership and contribution to their firm’s marketing success.

The Rising Star award recognizes a member who has been in the AEC industry for three years or less and has demonstrated commitment to the professional services marketing profession and to the Chapter. 

The Volunteer of the Year award recognizes a member who has demonstrated a commitment to the Chapter and the field of marketing professional services in the AEC industry through involvement in and contributions to the Chapter.

The Trailblazer award recognizes a member who has demonstrated an exceptional innovation, leadership, and a willingness to challenge the status quo in the AEC industry. 

The Spark Plug award recognizes a member whose enthusiasm, positivity, and energy inspire those around them. 

Eligibility

Candidates are encouraged to self‐nominate or be nominated by another party. Eligibility is different for each award, but all candidates must be a current chapter member. Please see the submission link below for details.
