We think we know ourselves and other people, right? But, do we really? Self-awareness is important in communication. We need to know how other people see us, and how we come across to them. It's an important tool in communicating with principals, employees, peers, friends, and family. It's amazing how different we see ourselves versus how other people see us, and why that's so important.

Susan serves many roles at DJG, including Treasurer, Office Manager, and Director, where she manages the firm’s finances and front office operations. She is an accredited Certified Design Firm Administrator (CDFA) and has been with DJG for more than 23 years. For the past eight years, she has been involved with the Hampton Roads Society for Design Administration (SDA) Chapter and SDA National serving in many positions within both organizations including President for both; 2016 and 2017 Hampton Roads Chapter, 2018 SDA National. Throughout her professional and volunteer careers, Susan has learned that people receive and communicate their ideas and thoughts very differently. Communication is a skill, almost an art. During the program, we will learn how other people see us and how we come across to them. There will be an interactive activity so bring an open mind and a good attitude.

If you're searching for a more intimate setting to connect with your SMPS peers, join us for a monthly roundtable! The SMPS Virginia Chapter offers attemdees a valuable opportunity to connect with other marketing professionals in small group settings—through the roundtable program.
 
Roundtables are groups of members and non-members from around the Commonwealth who meet once a month to discuss topics of interest, issues they face in their jobs, and best practices. Facilitated by experienced marketing/business development professionals, these groups provide a unique opportunity to learn from each other and cultivate relationships with others in our field. Roundtables create an opportunity to participate in a committed mentoring environment that nurtures openness and trust.

Registration Policy
Payment is accepted online, at the door, or mailed in advance to:

Service Charge
If payment is not received by the start of the program, parties will be invoiced for payment of registration fee plus a $10.00 service charge to cover billing and processing.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations may be made in writing up to 48 hours in advance for a full refund. No-shows and cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance are responsible for the full cost of registration. No-shows and cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance who registered using the “pay at the door” feature are responsible for the full cost of registration plus a $10 service charge and will be billed accordingly.
